Teach the Future

Teach the Future is a youth-led campaign to urgently repurpose the entire education system around the climate emergency and ecological crisis. We are delighted to be a Supporter Organisation alongside organisations like Greenpeace, NUS, and The Carbon Literacy Project. We believe that arts have a key role to play in our education which thus far fails to reflect the severity of the climate crisis.

Staging Change

Staging Change is a grassroots artist-led organisation, which supports theatre makers responding to the climate crisis. It’s time for change. As part of the wider #CreativeClimate and #GreenArts movement, Staging Change is working to create a green future for theatre. The “Staging Change Network” of performers, makers, venues and organisations work together to discuss how the industry can overcome the challenges it faces in becoming more environmentally sustainable. Future Fringe

Recently, we were proud to lend our voice to the #FutureFringeCampaign. With the cancellation of Edinburgh Fringe 2020, we all have a unique opportunity to make it even better. To reduce its environmental impact, and the waste associated with the props, costumes, and flyers from almost four thousand shows. To ensure we are all taking huge steps forward in the festival’s physical and financial accessibility. To protect diversity in all of its forms, and build a space that is fair and welcoming for everyone.

Music Declares Emergency

Music Declares Emergency is a group of artists, music industry professionals and organisations that stand together to declare a climate and ecological emergency and call for an immediate governmental response to protect all life on Earth. We acknowledge the environmental impact of music industry practices and commit to taking urgent action. We believe in the power of music to promote the cultural change needed to create a better future.

Eden Reforestation Projects

Eden Reforestation Projects reduce extreme poverty and restore healthy forests by employing local villagers to plant millions of trees every year. Eden works with local communities to grow, plant, and guard to maturity native species forest on a massive scale. Their “employ to plant methodology” results in a multiplication of positive socio-economic and environment measures. Eden is one of the most cost-effective projects of its kind, ensuring that the maximum proceeds go into fostering these local communities and reducing the impacts of deforestation.

Surfers Against Sewage

Surfers Against Sewage organise more beach cleans than any other charity in the UK. These events galvanise communities into action – protecting their local beaches for everyone to enjoy. They have introduced the Million Mile Clean; a new campaign which connects our beach cleaning action throughout the year, and targets 100,000 volunteers walking 10 miles whilst cleaning the places they love.
